Dr. appointment tomorrow hope it goes well

Haven't been online in awhile, just to much going on lately. I have a follow up appointment with the neurologist tomorrow. Don't know what is planned, I guess I'll find out. He'll probably just ask things like, have the sensations been getting any better. How has the cymbalta been working and I'll have to say I chose not to take it. Then he'll say, I'll see you in 6 months. I hope that's not how it goes. I want to know what is wrong with me, not that I'm idiopathic. All I know is that I have sensory-motor peripheral neuropathy in both legs. I had a flare up with my back in November. I went to my primary for that, because he does not think my back issues have anything to do with my neruopathy. She did a set of plain film xrays of my lumbar spine and also hips. The xray showed early disc degeneration and mild spondylosis which I already know about from the mri I had 4 years ago. but the radiologist said it was somewhat prominent considering my age 41. It also showed slight bowing of the fat planes on the left hip. which he said could be related to joint fluid. The doctor said, if it is fluid then there is an imflammatory issue going on. She suggested another mri but it is subject to deductable. So I have held off having it done, Till I see the neurologist and what he may want to do.

Keep faith...

Is all I can tell you at this point?
Whether back nerve or what? You just tell THEM THAT IS THEIR JOB?
Do not just say OK... Don't let them cop you out and get off their hooks.
Ask them WHY you hurt thus and so [be specific] and why this or that med just isn't doing the job!...
PT Maybe [ask, can't hurt?] and don't be shy about any why's or how's or whats! But,? Don't expect much in the answer dept. from Docs? I'venot gotten much? And the 'get back to you's'!
Worse of all? You've got to be sooo politely yet assertive to your docs? Until you get your diagnosis! Then you want to blast the jerks who got it WRONG? Be careful, as this aspect can haunt you when applying for disability.
Best phrase I've come up with? 'We did not communicate well'.
Other area docs will KNOW what you mean? But there is no insult or libel ... Get my drift? Sigh that it must be so? But, this is life.. go forth, get tested!
It's gonna be better, for sure.. Just keep at! -:hug:'s - j
