unemployment to disibility in CA?
Some backround: I was injured earlier this year and diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome. Still waiting to see a specialist (just got denied, starting proess again), and have been recieving unemployment. I am still doing some job searching, but I am @ the point where if I DO get hired, there is no way I will beable to keep a job for long @ all.
My question is, am I able to stop unemployment and be eligible for disibility in the State of CA? I'm pretty sur my dr will do the necc. paperwork. I just don't know how long this medical situation, I guess, is gonna take, and t be honest... My brain is NOT working @ full capacity lol!! Any info would be great if possible, going to the dr in the next day or two. Again, thanks! oh, and I'm sorry it seems like a simple question... but, well, like I said,no nuerologist yet, and I kinda don't have any help "researching" @ the moment. :o |
I'm sorry.....I know California has some funky rules about comp and disability, and I have no idea what they are.
I hope that someone is able to point you in the right direction soon. |
I don't have the answer for you. ButI have to say I leaned heavily on the book California Workers' Comp: How to Take Charge When You're Injured on the Job By Christopher A. Ball while I was going thru the various systems. Maybe if you scan through the book online you can find the answers - it's pretty much plain English. Here is the link (click link for the Google Book)
I wish I had the answers for you readily. I'm a little overwhelmed these days - otherwise I'd help research this better :/ Keep us posted on your findings :D |
