Discharge of student loans

This really isn't a SSDI question but I couldn't find anywhere else to put it so I figured this was as good as any place else. Feel free to move it if need be. Has anyone tried to have their student loans discharged due to disability? I received my BSN (Bachelor's of Nursing) in 2003 and only worked for a few years before I was diagnosed with RSD/CRPS in Nov. 2006. I was able to continue working while it was just in my right arm/shoulder but once it started to spread and my spinal cord stimulator stopped working I was forced to go on full disability in March 2008. A few months ago someone mentioned to me about having my student loans dismissed due to my disability and I started looking in to it and found out indeed I was eligible and had my doctor fill out the paperwork. She returned the paperwork to me last week and I have it ready to go out in the mail on Monday. I was just wondering if anyone else had ever done this and how the process worked?? I was very lucky when I applied for SSDI I was approved the first time I applied. I am hoping this will be a similar case.

I have heard of people doing it and they do have form for it, so if your doctor fills it out, you should be discharged.
