Has anyone had good luck with this medication for the pain of TOS? Any bad side effects?

I've seen Neurontin mentioned more than the Gabapentin.
(brand name Neurontin)

But I can't remember who had good luck with it, or not.

There was thread title that someone here asked "what meds others were taking".

Too many side effects for me, I use Lexapro.
The dose administered is high for neurontin, gab, and weight gain was an issue without really helping for me. But, for those with extreme hyper conductivity pain, (hyper or exaggerated pain signals) perhaps it works better.

Taking it or not, did not help my dd. Maybe there is a group that are not too bad, and not on the low end of symptoms, the middle ground that it works best.

That medicine got me soooooooooo foggy!!! It did help with the pain though. But it helped too well.
I couldn't really feel anything in my body and I made bad choices because I was so high. (I would take on home repairs like hammering :o )
I also couldn't wake up earlier than 9 hours of sleep to save my life. And even after I woke up I would still need 3 more hours before I could function.
It was a bit like being a zombie. .. Without the thirst for brains.

I found life on gabapentin pretty tough - felt really tired and had quite a few other side effects. Switched to pregabalin (more expensive option so most doctors don't try it first) and tolerated that much better. Whatever you try, you do have to stick with the dosing and slowly build it up so that your body gets used to it which seems to help. Still a fan of duloxetine which has really transformed what I'm able to do compared to when on any of the other drugs for neuropathic pain. Still new and not all neurologists or pain specialists know about it, but definitely something to try!
