Waking with memory loss

I have woke with memory loss several times in the past few years. Wake up forgetting I have a cat,in the house (or it's name),can't remember peoples names that I see every day--including relatives. Can't remember whether I had a job or not. Can't remember daily basic things I usually do. I see peoples faces that I see on a regular basis, and it's so hard (sometimes impossible) for me to think of their name.
I've had temporal lobe epilepsy since I was around 8 years old, and have been on seizure medicines for it for 37 years. I also had brain surgery for epilepsy around 1987. It was successful with lessening seizures. Only have auras now.
These memory loss episodes are worse than seizures. Any help would be appreciated.
