I was so nervous at this office tho the nurse was so nice. The tech that came in first as did bits of visual exam on me was asking about the university test when they gave me prostigmine. I said something was not right. I said I did improve greatly. I wasnt slamming anyone. I was very careful not to do so. I did say that 3 different doc/medical staff did parts of test. I said the head doc C. did the first with a bright red penlite and it was so easy for me to see the double vision. I said the person in pediatric that did the pre and post test at a larger level used only a TV screen at the end of room , no real color. I said it was really had for me to see any doubling with non colored object. She remarked that this was probably someone she knew. I about choked up a lung. I was glad I didnt say this person took my wheelchair away after the 2nd test! But then she said what she looked like and my daughter said no it was a very young lady with long blonde hair. Whew!
She then asked me to look at the wall there and tell me if I could see double. I stuttered, and stammered knowing what she wanted to hear but said no that it was too bland. I said when I look out my picture window at home at my tree filled with bright fall leaves it is obivious. The are all a mush. AS I considered this later it all made sense and I think did to the doc as he tried the double vision check and it worked clearly. But what he did was he only had his bright blue and white striped pen about 8 inches from my face on the left. My vision is a) so bad now you need to be close or it just is a blur and b) the scar on my left eye combined with the cataract on the right washes out colors so you need to use a really bright color with me.
