Diagnosis of MG
The eye doc said of course you have MG. Many people dont test positive on the tests. He said I treat several MG folks that are this way. He said I should be on mestinon and he could refer me to a neuro there. Unbelievable huh.
I may be having a pancreatitis incident so I wont go on here. I am scheduled for a CT of my abdomen with contrast Tuesday tho it was supposed to be tomorrow. I was going back into pain from myositis in face and couldnt take the morphine (or the steroids) as this incident is making me get sick from several of my meds. I have to see my pcp for differnt pain management to get thru this till diagnosed what is failing to cause this. My symptoms sure fit for pancreatitis. In fact if I go back that is what I think the flu was recently not the flu. Annie59 |
What a hoot. My eye doctor said the same thing. He said my blood work would eventually come back positive. He was right. However he put me on a big dose of steroids and gave me a bad case of diverticulitis. Pain was unreal. If you been taking steroids it is something to think about. All us old folks are prone to that. Steroids are not a good thing if you have a pre-exisiting condition. Hope you feel better soon.

Here is some info on this eye movement specialist and surgeon. I am so lucky to have seen him. He said see how much improvement we get from mestinon then the one muscle on the left that is worse he will fix which sounded like surgical. He also said I have bad scar in my left eye from the catract surgery. My daughter asked if it was cause it had gotten so bad before surgery. He said yes (so now Jen is pushing harder to not delay the other eye surgery). He wrote an order for the orginal surgeon to remove the scare by lazer which apparently is simple and in the office.
Another little piece of info that I should share. My landlord is kicking me out because I asked to have my old AC back. So I have been told to move by May 1st. Good grief.:thud::Red eyes: Annie59 http://www.wolfeeyeclinic.com/news/n...ching_Mission_ http://www.wolfeeyeclinic.com/news/n...e_Philippines_ |
