Post MRI results- apology more of a spinal issue

The MRI showed that I have a disc hernaition in C5/C6 pinching nerve root C6There is wear and tear of C spine, and one small bulge on T6. The PN flare is calming down (my daily pill count has almost haved). I think the whiplash is settling down thank goodness, but I still have pins and needles everywhere.

My new issue is that yesterday after prolonged sitting at my desk my lower back went into spasm and I can't walk. I have posted on spinal disorders and hoping someone with spine knowledge may reply. I am walking funny and have some burning across lumbar. I am wondering if this is a reherniation? Can this sort of thing happen if the disk has been fixed or is this a sign of reherniation? I am better today than yesterday, but don't know if I need to make another appointment with the surgeon. I have spent my money with all my medical bills lately and can't afford to go to specialist again unless very necessary.

Thank you for help.
Sorry i have been posting so much.

If the pain is similar to your symptoms before surgery, it could always be a retained fragment.

From all that you've been thru? WOW!

You seem to be back to the which issue is it? Stage. Back, nerve impingement or just more neuropathy! Wish I had a crystal ball? I've no answers, but I'll be pulling for you for the long run.
I truly wish that it were as simple as it being: 'animal, vegetable, or mineral'... you know what I mean!

Can I say OUCH!!!!!!! on your behalf now? Hugs for sure -:hug::hug:'s - j

I decided to give it a week and see if it settles. I will be seeing a GP today to see if he agrees. MRI's are very expensive here and they won't order them unless completely necessary. I don't think they will do that for me yet.

Thank you for your reply.

It's a bit like that J,

One day this and one day that. When I was admitted to hospital, the orthopod scared me half to death. He told me I could potentially loose the use of my leg and other worse stuff I won't mention here. I have had nightmares about that man since. I have never been so frightened in my life. It's really affected me, and my back has been front of mind since. I am in bad physical shape right now, I have lost sooo much weight from the time I have been in hospital. This is from the worrying and also being unable to shop and cook. I live on my own too so that doesn't help.

Anyways, we all have our crosses. I am thankful for the forum and the support that is offered here. Thank you for your reply J,have a great weekend.

Hey, don't allow yourself nightmares?

CARRY A BIG CANE IN EACH HAND! Need I say more? Don't need to 'use' them? Just HAVE them!
Hey, when I was in rehab a while ago? Between the hospital the week before, and 4 weeks of rehab ? Food was soo bad I'd lost 40 pounds! I was one starving patient! Dhubby met me for lunch daily so's I could EAT!
I must ask tho dear? HAS ANYONE SUGGESTED ANY PT for you to help you now and AFTER this all? There have GOT to be constructive exercises that are not damaging! Gosh.. There MUST BE SOMEWHERE!
I'm gonna cross my fingers that you find that perfect therapist! I'm wishing for you this.
Do they have on-line grocery order/delivery [for a fee] services in your area? They are common here for super busy people and those unable to get out. It's that or churches or other social services. Worth a look-see?
Hey, starving isn't an option here! :hug::hug::hug::hug:'s - j

Thank u for the laugh J. I am now searching for the perfect canes. Lol
I wasn't told to do physic. I just started swimming and I am going to physio on Monday. My whiplash is settling down and that huge PN flare is also settling, thank goodness because I was going out of my mind. Now if I can figure out why my good leg has now become my bad leg, I'll be settled down finally.
