:(:(I have neuropathy for about 5 yrs now, the good part is it is only in the front of both feet, the bad news is nothing is working anymore for the pain. I have changed my diet and I have taken a number of different pills, now I am on Lyrica 375mg and Ultram 200mg cr and 50mg inbetween. I have tried all the other medications for neuropathy, the in most cases they do not work or they make me a zombie. The last thing I am using is “The Rebuilder”, which was working great until I had my knee surgery. I did not use it for the first 2 weeks after the surgery but then I started using it again. At that time everything seems to have stopped helping me and my neuropathy has gotten much worse, nothing is helping with the pain. It is over 3 week since I have had a good night sleep and there has been a few days where it has not stopped hurting for over 36 hrs. My Neurologist says he does not know where to go now.
My big question is is they’re a way to block only the nerves coming from the front of my feet temporarily or that can be reversed at some point in time?

You need to find your trigger.... if you want to improve your PN.

There are many things that cause PN, so you have to be a detective of sorts.

Also you need to have B12 and Vit D3 serum levels run to see if you are low in these.

The most common causes are impaired glucose tolerance or frank diabetes, RX drugs used, exposure to solvents, pesticides.

Diet can be a cause... food intolerances include gluten (from wheat, barley, and rye), and also nightshade vegetables.
MSG in processed food is also a trigger for increasing pain.

Candida infection of the bowel, can increase aldehydes (by products) in the blood (like alcohol does) and irritate nerves.

There are supplements you can use to help, and they work by healing or correcting metabolic changes in your body. But you have to have an idea of what is wrong with you before choosing the correct ones to use.

Pain in the feet can also come from mechanical problems with the spine, or neck. Also many things can go wrong with the foot, like compression of the nerves (like what happens with low thyroid issues), or gout, or arthritis, or tendonitis.
Sesamoid bone issues and inflammation cluster at the ends of the feet. So getting a full evaluation at a good podiatrist is valuable.

I am sorry to hear about your pain. My boyfiend has been dealing with his for 9 years. He also is getting no relief from the medication. He has tried almost everything one can think of. His doctors (which is a growing list) are also at a loss. I just wanted to let you know you are not alone in this. I will pray for your relief as i do his every single day

I have CIPD and am in chronic pain as well...I take oxycod Q4 hrs which seems to control some of it (until the third hr which is heck)...it took several pain specialists to find something as simple as this...keep trying and see if there is anyone in your area that has had success with a pain specialist...personal referrals seem to be the best way to go...hope you find some relief..I know that it is all consuming and changes everything about one's life...all the best

Have you tried Lidoderm patches on the tops of the feet?
1/2 patch on each foot?

There is also Biofreeze gel, but that works better for burning, than frank pain.

Have you seen a pain doctor/anestesologist? For me this type of doctor worked more with pain control then the neurologist. Also do you know the why behind your condition? I hope you feel better
