April Fools!!!!!

OK, so IMO it's really hard to get anyone on April Fools Day anymore, with twitter, Facebook, the net, news, phones, everyone is generally on the lookout all day long.

That's why I am pulling my one and only April Fools joke first thing this morning. I am up at 3am due to pain, and set my bedroom clock ahead 3 hours, Laura is supposed to close tonight so is going in at 12 Noon. I am going to go in (with iPhone video running) at about 7:30 to gently wake her and tell her her work called and needed her there at 9. She will likely yell and jump out of bed and say "Why didn't you wake me before, now I am going to be late"!

Can't wait, oh and yes, I will have to pay for this later.

Anyone else going to try to pull something today? I saw a video on great office pranks, if I still worked in an office, I would for sure do the BB joke.

BAd idea earl. Husbands have been shot for less.

Mine pulled an april fools joke on me once. He was in the Army at the time and he told me he received new orders and he had to move to Ft. Benning, GA. He allowed me to freak out for about 3 hours before he let me in on the joke.

and now that I recall that day, and i think about how he is soundly sleeping right now... yup. :D

I had the "late for work" gag pulled on me, and I ended up tripping and really banging up my ankle when rushing to get out of kitchen and into the car. DH felt really badly when i was almost in tears cradling a skinned knee and he had to come clean.

I myself am a fan of the quick and dirty. "look its snowing out!" oh that doesnt work today, it really is snowing out! or the "we won the lottery!"

I will only admit that yes, I did indeed pull and am continuing to pull an April Fool's joke. I can't believe the number of people grossly falling for it. What is it?

May I remind you I'm a former law enforcement officer and there is a little thing called, "Miranda" from 1962. I have the right to remain silent because I "KNOW" you guys will use it against me for a long time. Well, that's paraphrased, of course. :D

Ha I pulled april fools on myself. Top that! I had a day planned of running errands and mom coming to visit. Wasn't until 10 minutes before I had to leave that my phone reminded me I have a dr appt today ... 50 miles away. Oops.

Earl, I thought the link you posted was of Laura. Did you videotape your prank?

Earl 04-01-2011 10:58 AM

Uh, oops

I tries to do it. Had the video going and all. She didn't buy it for a second and the video stuff cant be shared..... Sailors would blush with what happened. I learned my lesson...... Never again. Yikes!

I don't think we've heard from Earl since April 1st. Hope you're okay, Earl! :p
