Hi - I am so glad I found you. It will be wonderful to "talk" to someone who has myclonus and learn how you are dealing with it.

Does anyone have myclonus "jerks" that comes from restless leg syndrome? I am taking a lot of meds, have a neurologist and still it has taken over my life.

Hi, and welcome to NT

I had to look that one up.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myoclonus

I also used the "SEARCH" button above and didn't get a lot of hits. Here's the URL for that.

Do you have any of the diease processes in the Wiki definition?

Sometimes I think I may have those, but mine are from being injured in a motor vehicle accident. Not painful. Just eerie. As far as I know, I don't have any of those diseases. Thank God for that.

Are these myoclonic episodes painful?

There's lots of smart people here who may have some info regarding the meds you're on. Sometimes side effects can be horrific.

Maybe it's a vitamin deficiency causing them. It can be that simple sometimes.

I hope you get answers soon. Not knowing can cause its share of problems.
