Pain: The Plight of Fallen Man: God's Prescription for Persevering
by James Halla

I got this for free at my church. The only Christian book on pain I know of.
Halfway through it-

He mentions some hard truths- that God may have me suffering physical pain to give glory to Him, or to keep me out of some sin that could destroy me (such as drunkeness in the past).

That the top goal in life is not the idol of pain relief, but giving glory to God above all else.

I'll keep reading- just figured I'd share this discovery.
