Plz answer my questions!
Hi everybody,
i'm new here and i'm happy that i can talk to people who's going from the same thing as me! I've been diagnosed with bipolar diorder with severe depression. I'd didn't know there was different type of bipolar disease! I'm actually on camcolite(lithum) and prozac! I suffer a lot of migraines and is taking inderal but it does help much! Is it due to side effects? How can i know what type i am? Thanks a lot |
Hi,
Welcome. Prozac can cause headaches. When did the headaches start? M. |

Welcome Axelle!
Depression is a feature of both BPI and BPII.... So, the best way to find out what type you have is to ask whomever is prescribing your mental health meds. Discuss your headaches with your med doc and see if he/she thinks they are related to a medication you're taking... If not, talk to your regular doc about it and see what he/she can do. Kay |
I started prozac about 4 months ago and few week after i started i had headaches. My doc gave me inderal for that and it worked well but now the headaches are back again
|
Call the doc who gave you the script for inderall. Maybe he will change the dose or medicine.
You can also call the person who gave you the prozac to see if they want to reduce it or try another med. |
I hope your headaches get better.

Ask the pdoc to give you a better med. Prozac might not be the right med for you.

Hi Axelle
did you have migraine headaches before starting prozac? from your post, it sounded like your headaches started after starting the Prozac, so i would report that back to the doctor who gave you the Prozac - headaches of various kinds can be a side effect. also, since you report problems sleeping, this could also be caused by the Prozac or it could worsen existing sleep problems. so i would really really encourage you to talk to that doc. if you no longer see that doctor, i'd encourage you to find another psychiatrist and discuss the prozac and any symptoms that emerged or got worse after starting it. this is important. welcome to the board! i hope you feel better. ~ waves ~ |
