Is there hope?
 

I'm new to this site (I've only been a member for about 5 minutes) and I was wondering if anybody has any stories of recovery from ect treatment. I got 6 bi-lateral treatments about a month ago, and though my depression lifted slightly, the costs were way greater than I ever imagined. I feel tremendous amount of difficulty in accomplishing relatively simple tasks. My cognitive functioning seems to be impaired, and I often get frustrated and depressed that this "side effect" may be permanent. Can anyone assure me that this is only temporary? I guess what I'd like to hear is that I will eventually recover.
