Dubious honor
We have two long-haired cats (did have three) and sometimes they have, well, "problems" when they leave the cat box...sometimes there is something dangling from or sticking to them that should have been left in the litter.
I am locally famous for trying to check discretely, especially if one of them has been in the box longer than usual, so I can head off an unfortunate carpet incident if necessary. Usually this involves just glancing as the potential offender walks by. If I sniff a reason to be suspicious, I might upgrade to gently lifting a tail for a better look. My dubious honor? My kid calls me the Butt Police. :D |
Super! Been there done that?
Just glad I don't have to 'face' the disdainful looks of the critters as they're being checked! Truly disdainful is the polite word for the 'look's THEY gave ME?

Yes, I only had one cat with long fur...my first. And last! :p
We use that word too... disdainful. When hubby feeds them, he reports, eager eating or disdainful looks. What is odd is this happens with the same flavors. Eager one day, disdain the next. |
My cats are half-sisters. When I make scrambled eggs, Cindy starts standing 1" from my foot, yowling steadily from the time I start cracking eggs until they're cooked and finally cool enough to give her a little piece.
On the other hand, I offered Peach a piece of scrambled egg, and not only did she turn up her nose at it, she SHUDDERED. I didn't know cats could shudder. |
hehe!
My daughter has a name for those things that dangle: DINGLEBERRIES!!! :D |
My daughter calls them that also. Do they know each other? :D

In our house, when spotting mysterious dark round object laying there, we have the saying,
" Cocoa Puff or Cat Turd? :Noooo: |
