being in the car -- (even if I'm not driving)
OMG -- I felt awful yest after trying to get out -- husband drove me to the park...we were in the car a total of maybe 20 mins. This time I didn't lay back with eyes shut (as that gets me nauscus) I got home and didn't feel right. Tried to nap, but I lay there in a weird state like I can't open my eyes but hear everything going on.
I barely slept -- woke up at 1:30 with throbbing thru whole body and pins and needles... I had to take more meds to get me back to sleep. I know the car ride was it...its the same scrambled feeling when I drive even a few mins. My head feels more scrambled today too. Is this a visual thing??? |
I used to have the same problem. I think it was from the speed of visual objects zooming at you too fast. I have learned to look at things farther away. If I forget and look at things as they zoom past, I overload quickly.
The other option is to look at something inside the car or at the car ahead of you. It took me quite some time before I could ride in the car without being overwhelmed. Before I figured this out, we took a ride in the country. I slept most of the next two days. I have found that my comfortable speed is 35 mph or slower. |
yes...we were going slow...on a back road and there weren't cars passing me...just houses. I did try to look straight ahead. It actually didn't bother me at all until just about home when my inner ear felt like someone was stabbing me. I felt awful the rest of the day.
And...I felt horrible the past 2 days -- yest worse because I took the anxiety med in the morning. I went from the bed to couch all day. |
