Dear little girl,
What were you thinking?
You sent us into a whirl;
We are sinking.

Dear little girl,
All this flooding rain;
Will it always be like this for us?
Why all this pain?

Dear little girl,
Do you think you could reconcile?
Tone it down a bit?
Spread it around so it's not in one big muddy pile?

Dear little girl,
Please talk with your brother;
Maybe share around these years of flood and drought?
Please ask him not to leave us in the dust to smother,
