Normal

I don't even remember what normal was like. I was watching a couple walking their dogs along the road and realized I was thinking, "What are they doing out this time of night?" Hello, it was 6:30. 6:30!!!

I've gradually stopped wearing normal clothes and normal shoes and normal underwear, and it's been a very long time since I've just gone to bed without twenty minutes of arranging specific pillows in specific ways and having everything JUST SO.

I've pretty much made peace with the fact that this is my "new normal", but every once in a while I see stuff that reminds me that my normal isn't really normal at all.

Yeah.....me, too. :( I know what you mean.

But......I've decided that the word "normal" isn't a normal word. It's very specific to whoever and whatever it's being used to describe. In other words.....I'm normal for me. You're normal for you. Dej is normal for Dej. Sally is normal for Sally. And so on.

We're all normal! And anybody who says otherwise isn't normal!

Normal?? I don't think I was evernormal but I have noticed I have become even more abnormal lately, I mean my new phobia of sunlight and stairs is a little disturbing.

Well, I think it's abnormal, these days, if you're too normal..:Crazy 2:

Didn't Einstein say that normal was relative, or something like that?:D

legzzalot 04-22-2011 08:29 PM

Well i know my relatives sure as heck aren't normal. :D

B2Y - It is normal. It is your new, pillow moving, fluffing, arranging normal. :p I get what you mean though. If given a choice, I would not have spent my day wrestling with leg spasms and laying down. I would have been out there doing something far more constructive with my day, like running to Target with DD19 and things like that.;)

Normal depends on who you hang out with. I've seen things in my "other" life that may not be everyone else's normal.

my relatives are NOT normal, but I wont go there.

Folks ask us out to dinner all the time, and they want to meet us there at 8pm! OMG no no no! not that hour! at 8pm I am IN bed, and dozing. We eat dinner at 5, and the latest is 6pm. I see folks out running the streets at 9pm! from the campground and my DH and I think...ITS LATE, GO HOME! This is coming from a girl who worked till 2am most days. I got off at 12, but I had paperwork, and stuff to catch up on before I could leave. thought nothing of it.

I am a 48 y/o woman living in an 80 y/o's body. When did this happen? Am I not supposed to be out enjoying my early retirement? Sheesh! im with ya.
