Hello To All

About 5 years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I have also been battling with plantar fasciitis for 2 years. After numerous visits to the podiatrist and orthopedic surgeon, the pain was changing and getting worse. The orthopedic surgeon had a nerve study performed (mid March). I fully expected it to come back normal. To my astonishment the impression was: chronic sensorimotor peripheral neuropathy. I am now waiting on an appointment for my first visit with a neurologist.

Ironically, my 71 yr old dad has idiopathic PN. I am 50 and do not look forward to what my dad has been through. Needless to say, I am scared!

God Bless,
Sheila

Sheila, First welcome to Neuro Talk:welcome_sign:
So sorry about your problems. About your Dad...everyone feels a disease differently. You may not have the same reaction. I guess I just want to think a little positive. Take care and know that there many of that are he to be a listening ear...

Hi Shiela:

Just wanted to say Welcome to Neurotalks. My husband has Idiopathic PN for over 20 years and I have diabetic neuropathy. However, in my case, I got lucky and began taking 5000 Methyl B-12 sublingually about 3 years ago.

Best thing I ever did. Do you know your B-12 levels.

Look into this. It might be what you need.

All the best
