stressed out

I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus on 4/20/2011 by my nuerologist and am very worried . I was then sent to a nuerosurgeon and was told i have Ventriculomegaly which from what i understand is similar .
Im concerned that im not going to be able to drive tractor trailer if i have some kind of nuerological issue . My nuerosurgeon has referred me to a opthamologist , so im hoping for some good news from that but only time will tell iguess .
Does anyone know how you pay your bills if you are not able to make a living the way i have always done ? Does this diagnosis qualify me for permanent disability benefits ? I sure would appreciate someones experiance on this because i dont know what to do and the stuff ive read on shunt operations on the internet doesnt sound that good and i dont think the d.m.v would let me drive a big truck for a living after having that procedure . Anyway good luck to everyone on here who is going through all this i know stress isnt good but not knowing is the worst .
