Hi darleend
I dont have the answer to your question but wanted to welcome you to NeuroTalk maybe you will get some answers if you post your question on our Vitamins/supplements etc board http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=49 |
Be careful...
Here is a monograph on the subject:
http://www.pdrhealth.com/drug_info/n...ins_0303.shtml Anyone with a pituitary adenoma should be under a doctor's care and since these tumors secrete various levels of hormones that differ from patient to patient, advice for supplements should be directed to your doctor. Some adenomas actually stimulate IGF-1 secretion. IGF-1 typically falls with age. Its significance is still controversial. |
