Concussion - when to go back to weight training
10 days ago I suffered a concussion from sparring.
The blow knocked me down but I didn't hit my head and I didn't pass out, I didn't feel nauseous at the time or since however I was a bit confused just after the hit and had a bad headache that night. I went to the hospital for a cat scan just incase which come back clear but ever since I've been feeling quiet light headed or even dizzy to varying degrees. I went to the doctor today to make sure there was nothing else thats wrong and she checked my eyes, blood pressure etc and said it is all ok and it will just take time to heal. I've decided I won't go back to training for at least a month, and certainly no sparring for 3 months. I'm just not sure when to go back to weight training; is it safe to train before these feelings of light headedness disappear? |

We have a Post Concussion Syndrome room. That you might like to come post in. These are symptoms of which you are talking. I can't answer exactly when to go back to weight training. But someone in that room, can probably help with that. Donna:grouphug: |
