how do I start getting out of the house and tolerating more?

Everytime I try to go out -- I come home and crash...even if its for an hour. Huge blasting headache and exhausted. Any suggestions?

If I do drive, its no radio...and locally -- just to keep it short -- 10 mins.

I still can't even tolerate tv without walking away dizzy and my head hurting all at the top. Even 15 mins...and I really want to watch Modern Family tonight!

Why am I not tolerating more yet??

Sending hugs. I don't know what to tell you. But to work through
this. You might try some glasses with a blue lense whether they have
a prescription in them. I think sometimes it takes things like this for
TV.

I don't know exactly what to tell you about the driving. Except to suggest
if someone can drive you that sometime helps.

I'm so tired of asking friends to drive me everywhere. THey all have kids...and I rather use them to drive my kids where they NEED to be.

I haven't driven more than 5 or 10 miles...prob going fri for bloodwork...see how bad that is.

What do the blue lenses do? Where can I get a pair??

I'm wearing prism lenses but that isn't helping either!!

Just started new meds...maybe once the anxiety is lowered...I will tolerate more

The blue lenses helped my son with seizures.

I'm not sure but his came from the eye clinic at walmart.

I think you can get them about any clinic though.

I am 6 weeks into this - how far are you? If you are not too far into it, I assume the answer is - you don't. Aren't we supposed to be resting? Resting has gotten me a lot further than I was before. If I go out, i only set myself back a few days. Am I wrong on all this?

wtrpk 05-05-2011 06:05 PM

nope..not wrong...everytime I go out for more than an hour I'm a mess the entire rest of the day (used to be 2 days). I am at 8 months now.

Today I went for 2 short (15 min) walks with my dog. He's happy...and I was thrilled to get some fresh air...made allergies kick in...but so what!

I also drove my son to his friend's to catch a ride for baseball...15 mins total...so that's improvement.
