Spine and neuropathy

I have been told by my Neurologist that my neuropathy is in my feet period. My thinking is that, it starts hurting in both feet at the same time with the same intensity and stop at the same time. That tells me it is in my back thats the only thing common to both feet. Now I have a bad disk between 8 and 9, could this be my problem all the time?

Pain in the feet that comes and goes, I would think would be pointing to a compressive issue (say in the back). Arthritis, activity level, position etc being triggers. Also if your PN is only confined to the feet and does not involve hands or other skin areas, that points to a specific trigger also like the back. People who have spinal surgeries often get pain in the feet afterwards during recovery.

Other types of foot pain from PN that is genetic, toxin or drug induced or metabolic like thyroid and diabetes or autoimmune, does not go away with periods of pain free times as likely.
