Annette Funnicello

I saw Annette Funnicello on Entertainment Tonight this past week.....actually it was the last interview Mary Hart did with her so I'm not sure how long ago it was. Couldn't have been too long ago.

What I was wondering is does she have any other condition other than MS? I've tried researching this but can't come up with much other than her career with The Mickey Mouse Club.

I know she's had MS for quite a number of years but her visible symptoms didn't seem much like MS.

Which symptoms do you mean?

The last time I saw her, she looked like she had a very bad case of MS. Could hardly talk and shook greatly when transfering, with help, to a seat. She could have another autoimmune disease, along with MS? Most of us do.

Well, it sort of looked like she could have Parkinson's, too. What she was doing didn't look like tremors....but more like the uncontrollable movements that folks with PD have.

I'm not sure how severe her MS is so it could just be that's her "normal". I'm sure my "normal" doesn't seem normal to others. :o

Sadly tremor as we lose the ability for fine motor movement is not uncommon in MS also. :(

yes, it was also my understanding that she was very sick MS wise and was in a wheelchair. and that was a while back.

it must be the "but you look so good" thing.

I know. The media is notorious for showing the worst looking photos of folks who are or have been sick. What I saw was a video interview with Annette and her husband talking with Mary Hart. Annette was having a very difficult time talking. It was so sad to watch. :(
