Zonegran Vs. Topamax? need to know!!!

Ok, so I have been on Topamax for exactly a month. Was doing fine til the doc had to increase dose the other day. WELL....OMG. Started having eye pain behind my eye, dry eyes and I got so scared:eek: I dropped the dose right back down to before the increase. But now I don't even want to take it for fear of it damaging my eyes any ways. Plus, My body has been itchy since day 1, but I overlooked it (for the benefit) but now my body looks like I was attacked by fleas with razors!!

Anybody ever try Zonegran? I read it somewhere and cannot remember where (thank you Topamax) I am also wondering...cannot remember now what I was going to ask....AARRRGGGHH...Any how, if anybody has taken it, I would appreciate your input whether good, bad or ugly on it. I know we all react differently, but I would like to speak with my doctor about it and he trusts my research on medications, so I like to get "real people's" experiences!

Thank you!

I am not familiar with this drug. You can try a search on the name here and the threads should come up about it. Have you tried the more typical meds like neurontin, lyrica, cymbalta, elavil? Do you think you increased the topamax too quick? I would call your doctor and explain your symptoms before stopping though. Feel better.
