Hey All You Beautiful People!!!!!!!!

Well It has now been four days since my visit to my Doc about my severe all over pain (especially in my knees along with the swelling). She too thinks that after going off the Narcotics that I was on for so long all the pain in my body reared its ugly little head all at once. Now for leg pain - ready for this -
GOUT
Yuppers. Big time!. What a pain. I am not surprised though. I haven't had that yet! Go figure. The knees are ugly and my feet won't win any beauty contest soon either I can assure you! :D So My sister will be here tomorrow and is taking me back to Maine for a week or two for some well needed family bonding. I have not seem my family since my Mom passed over three years ago now. I miss them so and I need a break from sitting in this house alone all the time. My Doc also prescribed me a new walker on Monday to help me get around better (It's Real Fancy :D :D ) but it is just to dang cold to go anywhere. But it does have a seat so I can give all of you a ride and a removeable basket so we can go shopping!!!!!! :grouphug: I have attached a pic. You have to help me give it a really cool name. It is blue.

I think that while I am home I might get another opinion about a few things. It couldn't hurt could it. Plus my Doc now has me on Morphine and I am scared of what will happen to me when that no longer works. What else is there at that point but to take me out behind the shed? Right?

Well I feel so depressed and blah right now that I hope this little visit will change things but I am not one to expect to much these days. I would rather spend a week with some of you and maybe someday that might happen you never know. Anyway, I will close for now. As always, I luv ya all. Thanks as always for comfort and support. Will be talking soon. Keep ya chins up the best ya can!!! Love Mark :) :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

:Wave-Hello: hiya mark.

dang, i'm sorry about the gout. :(

have a wonderful time with your family. i'm so glad you are able to go.

i just love that walker! i talked to man and his wife just the other day about that very one. he was using it at costco. he said it gave him back his independence. he can walk around stores and actually shop. talking walks around his neighborhood isn't scarey anymore. being able to sit when he needs to rest...that is key. he said he had a tradtional walker. it helped hm get around, but the added features on this oone, got him back out of the house.

we will have to get our noodles working while you are gone on a name. :D

 take care and have a great time in maine.

Hello Mark: So sorry to hear about your additional diagnosis. I am glad to see that you are going to be able to visit with your family and that you have something to help you get around. How about Blue Streak as a name for your new handy-dandy walker? Regards, Lil

HI Mark..

I have been looking all over for the walker you just got.. What is it called?? My doc doesnt have a clue what its called and all the places around me that have these kind of supplies, thinks im crazy , bc i describe it like a walker that has a seat in it.. i need one soo bad. My doc will Rx one for me, but has no clue what its called so my insurance will pay for it and with my insurance, it has to bbe specific or else they wont cover it..

Sorry about the gout... My dad has had it in the past and its been crazy with him.. He has it in his feet and knees and he just had a total knee replacement so hes hopeing tht it wont get in that one.. but?? knowing our families luck..hahaha..

Have a good trip back to Maine!! It will be good finnaly seeing your family!!! I hope its warmer then its been here in NY, but konw that maine is 10x worse, but according to the weather man its supposed to hit 50's next week whoohooo! ! lol Take care! and have a good and safe trip back to Maine!

Dear Mark,

I have considered getting the walker in the picture as well.

Should I get a license plate that says driver in training? Or rider in training:wink:

Well if I get a lucky enogh to get a blue one, I will call it Blue Lightening.

We love you Mark. Be good to you. Love, Roz

It's called a rollator. You can google them and gets lots of prices and distributors.

Congratulations Mark. Losing your mobility stinks big time. Now, at least you can get around.

Hope you have a great time with family.

Hugs and Prayers
