Aloe Vera juice helping alot!!!!!!!!

I am having the most wonderful result from some juice I just started drinking. It is made by a company called JayOne (also known as J1). It is aloe juice with pulp in it. Taste is very good but, I wouldn't care if it tasted like crap. It is hard to find and I have had to order it online from Amazon. All I know is that when I drink it with my meds in the morning (carbidopa-levodopa, Mirapex and Comtan) it seems to help them kick in way faster and I'm getting an extra maybe 30-45 minutes of good out of each dose. I've always had some nausea issues with the meds and that is now gone. I haven't tried any other kinds of aloe drinks to see if they all work this well. I am drinking this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. I only drink one bottle a day. Prior to this, I have been having a serious problem getting any work done particularly in the morning. Now, I seem to be flying right along. I also found that this company makes two formulas... one with vitamin C added and the other with C, B6 and B12 added. I haven't seen a big difference in the effect between the two so I don't think it's the vitamins.... it has to be the aloe. So, for what it's worth, I'd recommend trying to drink some aloe juice every day. Probably any brand will work.

Excellent!

Aloe has been on my "Try It!" list for a long time and I am going to move it to the top. One possibility is action against the inflammation caused by H pylori. Another is the complex sugars in the juice. Thanks for posting this.

It's getting even better

I had been drinking just one bottle of aloe juice in the morning pretty much because I couldn't find a supply of the juice. I lucked into a dozen bottles today so I treated myself to an extra bottle this evening. My usual dose of meds every 3.5 hours is 1.5 Carbi/levo 25-100. Along with that I would take 1 comtan 200 with every carbi/levo dose and a mirapex ER 1.5 in the morning.
My doctor has been trying to get me off the comtan and reduce my intake of carbi/levo as I'm having quite a DK problem. With the morning aloe I've been able to cut back to 1 carbi/levo and push it to every 4 hours, but this evening after drinking my second bottle, I was able to take just one half of one carbi/levo and I'm feeling just fine!!!!! This is beyond amazing as I have not only been unable to cut back on the meds but, many times I had to sneak in an extra half because it just wasn't kicking in.
I've been diagnosed by several MD experts so I'm pretty darned sure that I have PD. I hope that this isn't some weird mind over matter reaction but, I haven't felt this good in years. Other people close to me have been commenting on my added energy and healthier appearance. Just a couple of weeks ago people were looking worried as I often was pretty green and sick looking along with losing a frightening amount of weight. Is it possible that some juice can cause such an improvement? In some ways I was afraid to post anything here for fear I might jinx this. But if anyone else can get even a tiny amount of relief then it's my duty to post this. If anyone else tries this and feels better, I'd sure love to hear about it.

Aloe Info

From "Fundamentals Of Aloe Vera Mucopolysaccharides"
by Ivan Danhoff, MD at http://wholeleaf.com/aloeverainfo/al...ccharides.html

"The Aloe vera mucopolysaccharide (MPS) is a long chain sugar molecule composed of individual mannose and glucose sugar molecules connected together. There is wide range in the size of the mucopolysaccharide molecule.

The varying sizes determine their healing properties:

Small
50-600 molecules
Reduces inflammation - which is involved in such diseases as ulcerative colitis, arthritis, and gastric reflux. Also helps with the reduction of blood sugar with both type I and II diabetes.

Medium
up to 1,500 molecules
Where as vitamins and minerals can only function outside the cells, mucopolysaccharides are very effective intracellular antioxidants and free radical scavengers - very important in preventing and treating arteriosclerosis, heart disease and Parkinson’s disease. With the ever increasing pollution on the planet and loss of nutrients in the soil, the increase in free radicals and loss of cellular oxygen will only become worse with time. This makes Aloe vera mucopolysaccharides even more important than ever.

Large
up to 5,000 molecules
Has a direct anti-bacterial and anti-viral effect. Important with all the new infectious diseases cropping up and the older ones becoming more virulent from long term use of antibiotics.

Very Large
up to 9,000 molecules
The very large molecules are immune modulating, which have a powerful healing effect on AIDS, cancer and many different immune system disorders. It is also this large molecule that causes the body to produce a natural chemical, tumor necrosis factor, that functions to shut off the blood supply to tumors."

I've bought a gallon jug from Wal-Mart $7.84 - I'll let you know my results.

Thanks for the excellent research. The information seems to suggest that the benefits I am experiencing may not just be wishful thinking. I almost want to say that the aloe is acting like an agonist only better and without the side effects. The particular brand I have does have a fair amount of sugar/honey in it and I'm not sure if that is helping as well or just likely to help me put back some of the weight I've been losing. I will make a point to find some juice without sugar to see if it works as well.
I found some interesting references on the web specifically regarding aloe and Parkinson's. Of course, if you search around the web you will find something something that claims to cure everything... the more costly... the better the "cure." At least aloe is cheap and generally good for you anyway. It also seems to grow easily in pots or in the ground or those of you who have a green thumb. There are also some mentions of a mild laxative quality to aloe... which sure doesn't hurt either.

Maybe so...

I, too, don't want to jinx anything. And the floor is littered with things that worked at first and then didn't. But...

I took two tablespoons of aloe gel around noon and again at 3:00 PM. I should have been going off at 5:00 without another pill. I skipped the ill and it is now 6:00 PM and I feel good! Everything seems to be working. It shouldn't be.?>?

OK... so this is getting scary good. I'm drinking it by the bottle (16.9oz) which is supposed to be two servings. This particular brand has pulp in it and does taste pretty good. However, I did note that the contents lists water first, then aloe vera gel powder, cane juice and aloe vera gel followed by flavorings. I'm guessing that you probably have pure aloe gel. I'm going to get some pure stuff and then start tracking exact doses and times. Might as well go at this in a bit more scientific manner. It would certainly be a hoot if we found something that improves PD that can be purchased for $12 a gallon, grows like a weed in your yard and doesn't require a million dollar clinical trial.

OK, it's 7:00 PM and still functional. Last meds were four hours ago - expected two. I think that I will go on and take a dose of meds rather than have a train wreck and bad sleep tonight. Will definitely continue tomorrow.

Yes. I don't think it's time yet to go off our meds and sign up for Dancing With The Stars. A good night's sleep is a blessing. Let's hope the aloe continues to help tomorrow.
