Hello there!

Hello folks!

I am a Sergeant in the Army and I am stationed at Ft. Bliss, TX. I have been having all sorts of issues with my back and I have been told that I might have MS and/or some back issues that may require surgery.

I don't really trust the Military Doctors here at Ft. Bliss (I've seen and heard WAY too many horror stories) so I have come to these forums in search of advice and possibly some second opinions.

I will try to post my questions and concerns in the appropriate sections.

Hello & Welcome,

Not many members online at this time, but by morning some of the MS members will be online.
Feel free to read and the sticky threads at the top of the MS forum might have helpful info for you too.

Welcome to NT

You have found a great place to find info and answers.

You may very well be at a disadvantage at first thought.

There are too many options to be stuck with only bad options. We will help you figure it out.

First, were you injured?

Have you had an MRI? other diagnostic tests?

Some diagnoses are surgical issues. Some can be delayed and others need immediate intervention.

Trust???? well, you have to do your homework.

Doctors and surgeons are human.

They are great when things go well. And yes, sometimes things don't go so well.

But really, where would we non-medicals with medical problems be without them?

So many good results that we don't even give them credit for.

They have come so far in the last ten years.

You will find new techniques and options for back pain.

I learned early on, not matter who or what I went to or did, "IT'S MY PROBLEM." ;)
