I'm a moron

I just did something really, really stupid. I went to take my tums and my quinine, and I spaced out and took another stupid lorazepam! Oh man. Not what you'd call an overdose, but twice what I usually take. What a bonehead thing to do. Ugh. I need a new system, where after I take a pill, I put the bottle a different place or something. Hope it doesn't make me sleep past the capacity of my bladder or something. :(

I had to set up a system to prevent such things. When I take my PM pills, I set up my AM pills. I know if my AM pills are not set up, I have missed my PM dose. I also check for my AM pills before I take my PM dose. If I feel lousy the next day I check to be sure my AM pills are gone.

I hope you take a nice nap.

I use a weekly pill keeper. I must admit my morning meds requires two pill keepers but that's OK. I took a magic marker and put AM on both of them and PM on the other one. If I have to take a pill in the afternoon or supper I am in trouble! All I have to do is to see if the top of the days meds is open. My Mom turned her pill bottle upside down once she opened it. Whatever works for you

oh damn, i just realized i can use those for when i can't sleep! i was up all night last night trying to fall asleep :o

btw, i use a weekly/daily pill minder with am & pm so i dont o.d. or forget my meds. i just recently got my dad to use on for him and my mom. kinda sad that i hafta use one as well...

i used to be smart

Yup, I have the weekly strip containers, the morning pills separate from the evening, turn them upside down, the whole works. I purely and simply was in a fog and thought I was in a different time zone. I think I could have had a big neon sign on the bottle saying "DON'T DO IT" and I still would have taken one.

I guess I just need to get in the habit of telling myself out loud what I'm doing or something. Grrrr. (No ill effects, though. whew.)

A moron

Don't you talk about my friend B2Y like that.

This reminds me of that time when I was telling DD13 how horrible it was when I accidentally took a pee pee pill with my sleepy pill.... and then I took the darn pill while I was talking about it. Was up every 20 minutes to go potty. We all have the bonehead moments.

I accidentally took a pee pill when i went to take my pain pills once. Took me 4 hours to figure out why they weren't working. Now my pain pills and my sleepy pills look alike so I have to really read the labels in the mornings.

The big question is . . . How did you sleep last night?:p

I must be a moron too as I have done that with my Neurontin before, not so much at night but my morning dose. I feel like such an idiot when I do that. UGH!

I'm glad it all worked out and you are definitely not alone in doing that.

I have a BIG pill dispenser. It has an AM, Mid-AM, Noon, Mid-Afternoon and PM compartment! I only have three prescription meds so the rest I divide up all my supplements in. It really helps because sometimes I just totally forget whether or not I've taken my meds..........and the dispenser really helps. If they're still there....I've forgotten. If they're gone.....I remembered! :o I need things very clear and basic. :o
