brachial plexus MRI tomorrow

Hey everyone, had my appointment with the neuro last week and have a brachial plexus MRI tomorrow evening.

Interestingly the doc is also thinking Temporal Arteritis could be a possible cause for my symptoms which does seem to fit a lot of the stranger things I have going on.

I see that TA causes a problem with the temporal artery (obviously :D ) which branches up from the external carotid artery.

Any thoughts on the effect of the C7 verterbrae on the carotid artery anyone?

Thanks guys! :winky:

From what i can see on the site below - you can peel or explore the various levels of the body by using the mouse or tools on the page -

It looks like C7 itself is pretty far from the carotid artery but the vertebral artery runs right thru all of the verts. Occasionally there are variances in our bodies so the imaging should help to show if that is a possible factor.

Thanks Jo*Mar, interesting link there. The anatomy of the neck seems so complicated compared to a lot of others parts of the body!

I was told that a bp MRI can be negative to show tos since it is just a picture of ur bp in a position that doesn't show the true compression that is going on during your daily activities
