New and need winged scapula help
Hi there,
Long story short, I've been weight training for over a year now, am getting ready to do a figure competition in August. After my posing session this past Saturday, I noticed my left scapula is sticking out like a winglet, whenever I raise my arm 90 degrees. I am able to raise my arm completely without any pain, etc. Anyhow, I have weakness on that side, cannot do my normal pushups, etc, very painful. I've never had any injuries, etc. involving that area. Is it possible I strained my muscle, or pinched the long thoracic nerve? Will it resolve itself? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not sure where to go from here. Thank you, Dee |
wow, we're getting quite a few lifters with problems recently..
I placed a copy of your post on our Thoracic Outlet Syndrome forum (TOS). It probably fits the best fit as some w/TOS can have winging scapula also. the search tool can help locate older posts there was a member by the name of towelhorse that had many thoughts/ideas on winging. might be back in 07/08?? |
Thank you so much! I appreciate it.

I hope you found the TOS forum - I forgot to add the link to it- you'll find the copy of your post there.
