New and need winged scapula help

Hi there,
Long story short, I've been weight training for over a year now, am getting ready to do a figure competition in August. After my posing session this past Saturday, I noticed my left scapula is sticking out like a winglet, whenever I raise my arm 90 degrees. I am able to raise my arm completely without any pain, etc. Anyhow, I have weakness on that side, cannot do my normal pushups, etc, very painful. I've never had any injuries, etc. involving that area.
Is it possible I strained my muscle, or pinched the long thoracic nerve? Will it resolve itself? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not sure where to go from here.
Thank you,
Dee

wow, we're getting quite a few lifters with problems recently..
I placed a copy of your post on our Thoracic Outlet Syndrome forum (TOS).
It probably fits the best fit as some w/TOS can have winging scapula also.

the search tool can help locate older posts there was a member by the name of towelhorse that had many thoughts/ideas on winging. might be back in 07/08??

I hope you found the TOS forum - I forgot to add the link to it- you'll find the copy of your post there.
