more specifics of problems

Really having problems. I cannot open any of the posts. Then continuously this page keeps appearing which says This page cannot be displayed with all info about technical difficulties, etc. Iam really frustrated/ What happened. My husband can get to his forums very easily and post, etc. So it is not the computer. The only thing that I can do is post - since I saw the last one worked.

hi..
can you not see anyones posts at all, or can you not reply to a post ?

I know that when I reply to a post it opens a new window, so if you have a pop up blocker, it could be stopping that box from showing up.

If you are able to see this, try typing a reply by hitting the "reply" button in the lower left hand corner.

Hope it works.. if not we'll keep working on it.

Sydney,

Is it possible that it's your ISP or the "handshaking" between routers (from where you are to BTs servers) needed for the access to happen?

I've been having problems with mine the past couple of days; I'm on wireless broadband (PC card), only the signal hasn't been very strong, which is likely related to the weather. I've had to switch to using my dial-in a lot for the past couple days. Even while using dial-in, I've had to use a number outside my area to get a strong connection rate.

What type ISP do you have? dial-in, cable, etc.?

I know the frustration. I feel it myself each time I see the white page with all the text about difficulties. Some sites open perfectly, but... then, when I try to visit others, the dreaded page appears.

Thanks for your help

Thanks for all of your help in trying to solve my computer problems. We have DSL and also have pop up blockers as well as all kinds of anti viurs stuff. I think it is working again now.
Another? I'm still unsure about the reply. What if several people respond to your thread. There is one reply button only. If you want to just respond to a question from one of those responses - how do you do that. For ex: I believe Bobbi asked about something as well as someone else. Do I just post a new thread to that person or e mail them personally?
Thanks again

Sydney:)

I think I answered on the other thread and probably asked questions.
but I read both -
i hope it keeps working for you.

hi there..
hitting the reply button like you did here works just fine. That way everyone who has been following your post will see your reply. If you have a question for one specific person that you would rather not share with everyone else, you can use the PM (private message) feature. To do that, you click on the name of the user you wish to send the message to. A list of options will appear below their name and I believe "send private message" is the second one on the list.

Looks like you are doing things just right.. glad its working for you !
Take care,
Pam
