New cervical pain with hardly any hope left
I am glad to see I am not alone I have had 3 surgeries in past few years because of c-4--c-6 problems from injury. They have replaced disc and installed a plate in the front and rods and screws in the back of my neck and now I have pain and numbness in neck shoulders and back to legs.
After the 3rd year my doctors have said there was nothing left to do and dropped me with nothing. I use to live a very active life working with fire and rescue and emergency communication and now with nothing I don't leave the house . I have tried everything they have ask ,therapy , injections, psych eval, and pain meds ,till my PCP noted that he thought this was a problem and was causing me more issues and when questioned about it I was dismissed as a patient don't understand why.I had to find a new PCP and was advised along the way I had to find a new pain doctor as well.I found a new PCP for other issues high BP mostly and was told if I didn't get help for pain I could have a stroke or heart attack. I have been seen by 4 pain doctors advising by three they couldn't do anything and the last sent paper work and then refused to see me with no reason why. I now have a new neurosurgeon and he is sending me to a pain doctor in the state next to us to see about a SCS unit.I feel like the dog left on the side of the road sometimes and thank god that my family has been here and strong enough to go though it. I hope anyone that has the problems find this site and I hope to learn something also I look for ideas I am out of them. |
