you wear it around your neck and it has water cooled misted spray that keeps you cool during walks, hikes, or whatever.

DH got me one. I will give you my update once I use it a few times.

Pardon the pun...COOL!!!

You wouldn't want to wear it to a formal affair, but for walking, jogging or site seeing, it's great.:)

don't think it would work well around here as the humidity is quite high, but hopefully will work where you are.:winky:

Looks so good I just ordered one, from Amazon though. $25 there!

i'm curious to know how you both like it.
it's a hiked up cooling collar.

doydie 07-08-2011 11:07 PM

I have one and I wasn't that much impressed with it. Plus it reminded me to much of one of those collars that they had on an episode of Star Trek where the slaves had those tings around their necks and the masters controlled them with it. You stepped out of bounds and were given a big zap!

Actually I have 2 of them, one a deluxe and the other a standard. I never could figure out what was added to the deluxe. I had bought the one and then my Biogen rep that calls me every so often was talking to me and found out it was my birthday and she said she wanted to send me something special. I had heard in the different MS forums about some really nice freebies that the drug companies send so I was looking forward to what would come in the mail and it was another one!!!!! I tried to sell it at a yard sale and no one would buy it/ It's still in the box with the plastic wrap around it.

It does help some but not that much. I think the cool metal feels better than the mist

so far I have been upset with any of the normal remedies that we tried, and DH thought this looked so cool. I dont know about this mist thing, does it just spray you in the back of the head? or what? I am looking forward to givine it a go. As if I am not goofy enough looking with DH leading me. HA.

Got this bad boy today, and I am confused, and could really use some advice from anyone who owns one. here is what happens.

it has fill holes on both sides of the neck. The fan goes at the back of your neck. You need to fill the water holes till full, then close the water door, and hold by the fan as water runs out the air vents at the end. When its done, shake it till it shakes out dry. hmm...this means there is NO water in it?

Is that right? am I doing this right? I did wear it out in 80 degrees and walked the whole street. didnt break a sweat and stayed comfy. The tips on my neck stayed cool, and kept me cool. I just dont know if I am using this right.

So, for my ONE attempt it worked well, but I will have to give it a few goes.

Sounds cool(lol)

It's 90 here....I can't take it must find shade!

wkikta 07-19-2011 03:17 PM

When you shake it all of the water does not come out, just the excess. It does work, but not great. What I found to work much better is http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00..._ya_os_product
It has a much bigger sponge so it cools more, does use 4 AA batteries instead of just 1, but has a very good air flow that is variable. It also has a USB wire to power it off of your Computer.
