hi everyone! I was looking for info. on super b complex when i came across this site. Started reading saw the rsd reference. i was diagnosed with rsd after i had surgery on my ankle. It was awful. I went to a pain client for year. I was already on meds. for anxiety and ptsd and the pain client put me on more. I felt like i was out of control sometimes (i was) My behavior was self-destructive and compulsive. I finally stopped all the meds., and just tried to deal with the burning, tingling and numbness. It is difficult and i get depressed every once and while, but it has gotten better. I developed rsd in 2000 and i now have tear in rotator cuff and my doc. wants to do surgery. I'm not sure about surgery because i was told that i may develop rsd in other part of body if i have surgery. Any thoughts?

Greetings, mjlusk!
Wow, I can connect with you on so many points--but I've gotten not a single diagnosis. & I've not had any surgery. My pain started after I was put on statins. But burning, tingling, numbness? Yes. Out of control? Yes.
I really perked up when you said you went off meds & tho it was very hard it got better. I think that's a big clue. I'm not sure which of these forums would include your concerns--probably more than one. If no one else stops by to direct you, I'll look thru the possibilities & come back later with some suggestions. In the meantime, stay cool. Literally, if nothing else. Are you taking something now for depression? How bad is the RC tear? |
