Need any help I can get

Hi, I desperately need some help. I went to the dentist at the end of this January and thats were all my trouble started, a day or two after the root canal I felt hot and cold flashes and the my left side become numb. They thought it was bells palsy even though no facial droop. I was put on acyclovir and methylpredisone which made everything ighter. I was shy of two days from finishing the steroid but I coud stand the tightness around my neck so I stopped. Mistake, it brought my anxiety to a ten in a week. Doctor put me on lexapro for the anxiety. Third week I notice my breathing through my nose was off as if i was suffocating. Meanwhile the numbness didnt seem as bad and needed more treatment on the same tooth. In april I had a crown lenghtening and within a week had facial tightness and the same breathing issue. During all these I did six weeks of lexapro and 7 weeks on zoloft while taking .25mg-.5mg of klonopin. Got off all of it but ended going back to klonopin after two weeks. I had an MRI and sinus scan done. they found minor sinusitis which i thought would cure my problem with antibiotics. When I saw the ENT and said that I had minor sinusitits and that shouldnt cause the problems im experiencing. Went to an oral surgeron to finally take the tooth out, it was bad and should of been taken out in the first place. When to a cardiologist adn taken blood tests also a gastrologist. The only the blood test showed was that my vitamin D was low. The neurologist in May said it was anxiety triggered by the injection and thought it would go away however he didnt sound convincing. I was given gabapentin and took it for a few days and then stopped. Started 3 weeks ago and stoped a week. Felt like it would make my nose stuffy as well as ativan. Im at a loss. now im thinking it is all benzo related, took klonopin longer than I wanted and got a tolerance withdrawal, now Im takin ativan. I want to get off of it too to see if it was the medication. Im at a loss right now, Im terrified to what this could be. I have tightness around my face and neck. Nose feel pressure. It doesnt sound like I have trigminial neuralgia but maybe some other type of nerve damage? I need to breath right again to cope with this but I just dont know whats going on. Feel so hopeless right now.

I'm just a patient, but I think you need to see a good neurologist and have them address all your symptoms and problems. Taking gabapentin for a few days isn't enough time for the drug to do you any good. Most of the anticonvulsants and antidepressants need time to work, usually a couple of weeks to as much as a month. As for the benzos, I don't have any experience with them. TN pain can and does present as sinus and tooth problems and it appears that you've seen people in those fields to rule out those causes which is good, except I don't think anyone has sent you to an endodontist. They can usually tell if the tooth/roots are causing problems. I've been through this circus many times and its enough to drive you batty, but hang in there and post what you find out. I do hope you'll get an appointment with a neuro and get them to address your symptoms. Take care

I went tot he neurologist yesterday and she wants me to have an MRA and spinal MRI also and EMG which I took today. She thinks it might be associated with my neck. Hoping for a solution. Thanks for your reply.
