Does anyone get a little release from hot showers?
Does anyone find that nice hot showers helps with a little release from pain not for long but it's worth a few minutes of peace.:circlelove:

Yes, sometimes a shower can help. I also use a hot tub when I can.
I really need to use what I can. Donna:grouphug: |
I love my shower, just love the feeling of water washing over me, but I am a water loving person. There are many fibros whom say they can't stand the water hitting them, it causes too much pain. I hope that never, ever happens to me, I love the water so much.

I do get some relief from or hot shower or a long soak in the tub with Epsom salt. Its short lived, but defiantly a welcomed few minutes of relief.

YES! A hot soak in the tub, as hot as I can stand it. Sometimes that is the only thing that stops the leg pain, but only for an hour or so and then back in the tub I go.

So-so
Actually, for me the heat can cause more inflammation sometimes. Hot tubs are pretty much out but a nice hot shower, to me, is worth it because it is my way of washing off the day. It tends to be more metaphorical and emotional for me than relaxing body wise. Usually, it's more a matter of hurting so bad that standing or sitting in the shower is just too much to handle. But the days it feels good it feels amazing!

Hello There !! New to the forum and am amazed at the similarities we manage our symptoms and pain. Warm water? ABSOLUTELY!! I was spending a half hour a day in the shower just to get moving.. So I took it a step further.
I looked around and found a wellness center that has warm water therapy classes and most of the clients in this section are FM RA or some other neuro related patient. SO YES!! Warm/hot showers offer relief, followed by a warm blanket peace and quiet! |
