My Friend

My friend,
When I think of you,
I think of all,
That we’ve been through.

My friend,
We have felt much pain,
Together we’ve,
Coped with the strain.

My friend,
We keep hope in sight,
And together,
We’ll always fight!

Whether the day,
Is good or bad,
Or I’m feeling,
Happy or sad.
If there’s a need,
A hand you’ll lend,
You will be there,
Because you’re a friend.
Other people,
May share my day,
But never in,
Quite the same way.
You support me,
It never ends,
It’s good to know,
We are true friends…

Friends like to smile,
And meet face to face,
Just be with you,
In any old place.

Friends like to chat,
Always want to share,
Glad when you’re happy,
When you’re sad, they care.

Friends like to give,
It’s just what they do,
That’s why your friends,
Are glad they met you!
