Hi from OZ

I am new here, surprise, I am hoping to expand my knowledge of supplements that can improve my current, restricted lifestyle. I am a 53 year old female from Melbourne, in AUSTRALIA (hence OZ) and suffered a major and debilitating stroke 15 years ago. I have found that any doctor or therapist has absolutely NO knowledge of how to treat someone with a brain injury who is not 75 or older and able to be beaten into "acceptance"
Since I was 38 when my life ended, i am NOT into acceptance

Welcome, Maree of Oz!

You go, Maree! Doctors, regrettably, are as lazy as the rest of us in seeming to think some diseases age or gender connected, which explains why young women's heart attacts are so offer undiagnosed & most early onset demensias passed over.

Here are a couple of links to forums here where you might find kindred souls & useful info. You'll find several young stroke victims on that forum, many new to the battle who would find you an inspiration.

Mega-cheers for your "Since I was 38 when my life ended, i am NOT into acceptance" attitude! Not all will agree with me, but I too am more inclined to rage against the dying light...

Let us know how it's going, how you're feeling, what we can do.

Hi Maree:

I don't believe in acceptance of anything. I believe in fighting, as you obviously do. So welcome to Neurotalks.

You'll find LOTS of fighters here.

You have been directed to the correct forums.

Go there, and show them what a fighter you are.

Take care:hug:

Melody
