Not giving up. Encouragement time.
The headache is slowly fading as the months crawl by.
The tooth nerve injury is what has thrown me in my recovery. It is so bad when I lay down. Melatonin helps so much. But I feel like I've been trapped in a body for a year that I very much want out of. The more injuries I get from various mishaps, the worse the nerve pain. I wonder if my immune or nervous system is out of whack. Anyway- not giving up is so basic, yet so crucial. There is still a chance of healing, no matter how remote it seems. Hope this helps. |
Hi Jeffrey,
I too am dealing with dental nerve pain. It's by the far the worst physical symptom I deal with. Part the nerve pain is from the impact of the air-bag against my face. The other persistant current reason is that I've developed epilepsy from my TBI and clentch my teeth during nocturnal seizures. It's too late for a bite plate to help with the existing damage to my front teeth. The clentching has caused severe shifting, nerve damage and cracks, particularly in my front bottom. The nerve pain is excruciating at times so I know what you're going through. I'm not able to focus on anything else and sometimes pain meds won't even take the edge off. I'm at my wits-end with dealing with it...No treament has helped and it's getting worse. For that reason, we've come to the conclusion that I will have at least the bottom four front removed, a laser treatment to deaden any nerves and then replace the bottom front teeth and rebuild the top front. Two years ago this would have devestated me (:Blush2: I can be a bit vain at times), but now this procedure can't be done fast enough for me. I know it's drastic, but if your dental nerve pain doesn't or hasn't gotten any better, is it possible you could have the tooth/teeth removed and replaced or would consider? I feel for you my friend. Hope there's a positive outcome for you whether toothed or untoothed  |
Thanks very much for the reply.
Very sorry to hear about your condition. I'm so used to manually blocking out the pain. I wonder how much less stress the brain will have if I can get some lasers on the nerve. Lasers don't come cheap, probably. But if I can avoid a root canal- I wonder how much longer I should think it over... This is good info, though- |
