Battery is the main problem. Poor chance of it working again if it's been drenched. Fifty/fifty maybe. |
Thanks Lara...he took the sim? thing out, dried it off and put it into another cell phone...it works. But his favorite phone, the one that took a hot bath, still has visible water in the "window"...it is unaccesable? and I bet it never works again. ok, no hair dryer...warm oven??

I've heard that putting the wet phone (without the battery) into a baggie filled with dry rice helps. I guess it absorbs the liquid quickly. Might not work but doesn't sound like it could do anymore damage beyond the water.

I'd try a lot of those other tips you've been given before putting it in an oven. lol
Then again I put my wheat heat pack in an oven once as I didn't use microwaves. Bad idea! :D Sunlight might help if you have some. e.g. on an inside window ledge by the glass where the heat can radiate. |
still snuggled in the rice...haven't looked at it yet. lol on the micro.

I hope it makes a full recovery, Alffe! :D
