? about nerve condition hands and feet curl up

A lady in church was talking about someone who has nerve condition that causes hands and feet to curl up. Anyone ever hear of such a thing and what is it?

For one thing, could it be Charcot Marie Tooth Syndrome (CMT) aka Hereditary Motor Sensory Neuropathy (HMSN). I am pretty sure there are other syndromes that might do this.

Yes,
Some of the long ago members on the thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) forum had direct nerve issues that caused the hand to "claw up", as well as some of the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) also known as (Complex Regional Pain Syndromes Type I) and Causalgia (Complex Regional Pain Syndromes Type II)(RSD and CRPS) members have clawing or contorting of feet/legs.

I don't know if its a nerve condition, but Dupuytrens contracture comes to my mind. It can effect the hands and feet.

Just a thought --

the lady from church should ask that person what they have. The person might be glad to tell her if they know what it is.

I have been diagnosed at Johns Hopkins with small and large fiber neuropathy, probable CMT type 2. My hands will claw up if held too long in one position, as in holding a book, phone, pen, or needle. The arches in my feet and the muscles in my legs are also continuing to contract. My hands are not permanently curled up,but it is definitely worsening.
