Dr. Karmisky or Dr. Gungor

I have looked at the RSD list that Dee has posted and I am looking for an RSD specialist in NYC as I live in Central New York. I called Dr. Richman's office but he does not take insurance nor Medicare so can't see him. Dr. Richman's secretary recommended Dr. Kramisky and Dr. Gungor both at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Anyone on this forum seen either of these physicians or have a recommendation of someone on the NYC llist that they like that takes insurance?

Dear nyt2,

I have worked with all 3. Dr. Richman was my PM Doctor for 7 years just a incredible human being and great doctor, I switched to Dr. Gungor for insurance purposes only and saw Dr. Kramisky once during an emergency. If you check the Hospital for Special Surgery Website www.hss.edu you can review each doctors bio's.

Good Luck,

Thanks for your feedback. I had already looked at their bio's. Bio's are such a great place to start but nothing better than feedback from patients who have been their patients or are currently patients. I am interested in how well do they listen to your concerns, how proactive with new treatments are they, what is the staff like. I called Dr. Kraminsky office and the secretary who answered the phone spent more time grilling me over insurances, she was insistent that I was wrong over my insurance coverage which I wasn't and why I wanted a different pain specialist than anything else. I don't have the energy to deal with rude secretaries and I'm not easily annoyed. The conversation with her was so bad I probably would never go to him because you have to be able to deal with the office staff.
