It's been too long since i said hi!!
Well hello to you all!! yes still alive and trying to keep the chin up. I got out of hospital last Tuesday having survived 65 days! life has changed a lot since i originally went into hospital on June 6th for what the dr thought was going to be some straight forward tests which eneded up as me being diagnosed with with my
CRPS spreading to my right leg and Heart Failure I was only allowed home after a stair lift was fitted to my staircase to allow me access to my upstairs bathroom and shower. Life has changed so much I now can only get around in my electric wheelchair and someone has to be with me always which is the hardest part for me at the moment but i am doing ok and fighting my way back but the exhaution is the part the is killing me i sleep most days and nights now but still happy to be homewith kids and hubby and hoping that my heart works with the meds and i can start to see some recovery soon. lovee to all and i promise to try and catch up soon but did enjoy reading yur private posts tonight so thank you for them and i promise to answer text messages/ pms as soon as i can but i do think of you all daily!! love to all j |
Our Dearest Jenna - Welcome Home!!!
Oh how we have prayed mightily for you and for your family all of these many days past and even now. You have a promise of life ahead of you and we hope for the whole of your family that you do gain strength. It will take time, patience, and the whole rigamarole of pain management, but you are such a STRONG person whose heart is woven from purest gold. May you feel the warm and gentle embrace of each of your dear friends here and afar. May God lift you up high and bring you and your family joy in these times you share, peace when you feel fatigued, freedom when you feel pain, strength when you wonder how you can do all you must do.
Our collected love as a group I am sure flows over you as honey, Prayin, Mark56:grouphug::circlelove::circlelove::heartthro b::heartthrob::You-Rock::You-Rock::Heart::Heart::Heart::sing::sing: |

Great news
Hi Jenna,
It's great that you are finally back home, home to T and your girls, home to your own bed and just to be home, do the Dr's have any idea how long you'll be in the chair or is it more of a permanent thing, I know your heart will take a long time for it to heal itself. Are you suffering from any pain now or is it more under control? Great news to hear you're home and please God we will hear more from you. Take care hun; love Sinéad :) |
Thank you all for your kind words and I will update you all soon i promise.
i am still dealing or struggling with the pain sinead but now take methadone daily which i do find a good pain controller. my scs is now just pointingto my legs to stop the blisters coming up on my legs so i am back struggling with lower back pain but my scs saved my life so i am not complaining. the wheelchair is because of losing the power and control of right leg to crps and will probably be permanent dr will fit second scs when the effracture rate of my heart reaches ( think thats what it is called) is about 50% atm it is only 20% which is why i am lucky they caught this when they did. Today i slept for the whole day and am about to go back to bed now af ter being awake an hour but i cannot control this atm so have to go with it. the local health authority is trying to get me a hospital bed for downstairs with a special mattress as my poor behind has many pressure sores which are very very painful to deal with. The blisters on my legs are nearly all gone these were from the crps and were dreadful so hopefully my skin heals fast and the marks start to fade. Home help arrive in the morning to help me with house work etc about 6 hours a week help will be given to me free of charge which is great but i know i will struggle asking for others to do my washing etc!! anyway thats all from me for tonight talk soon and love to all of you! Jenna!
Welcome Back! I was completely overjoyed to log on here and read this news! You are one amazing woman, I hope you know that.
Please get the rest you need, listen to your body. You've been thru an unbelievable battle. And most of all, do keep your spirits up. But if the tears come, then let them flow - it's a good release. Keep reminding yourself of what you've been thru. You are a survivor and a beautiful testimony to all of us. WE LOVE YOU DEAR JENNA!! :grouphug: RAE :grouphug: |
Stuff
Hi Jenna,
It's so good to hear the HSE got the finger out and got you the help you need at home, ple God it's only temporary but none the less it's great to have it, I'm so happy you are home and you're on proper meds that are helping. I'm sure the blister marks will diminish over time, after that fake tan can do wonders :) Sleep is good that's how the body heals itself so yes go with it. Lots of love and thinking of you Sinead xxxx |
I sent a PM not realizing you had posted. I hope you do get the new mattress soon. My mother had terrible bed sores. She received a new mattress that has littlie soft bumps that go softly up and down. It was unbelievable how something like this could prevent further bed sores and in the meantime, the old ones had a chance to heal. I pray God will give you the strength and courage to cope with all you are going through.
