Ulna Nerve damage

Hello, i've been dealing with problems of an accident I had in (Jan 07) that has lead to left hand feeling numb in the pinky and the ring finger. It is not just numb, but it also throbs as is in a significant amount of pain all of the time. I have had a nerve transposition with aftercare that hasn't worked (June 08). I have had injections in my spine to hopefully reduce the amount of pressure that emanates from my hand. Also, I had a spinal cord stimulator placed in along my spine (Boston Scientific) that I trailed for a week which did nothing more than to aggravate the pain. It seems to me I have exhausted all avenues because i've asked continually asked about what could be done next and I don't get any answers except pain management with strong medications. I am searching urgently for some answers because it affects my state of mind drastically.

Hello Twilly,
Have you read anything about Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS)??
or double crush syndrome = TOS & ulnar or TOS & carpal tunnel?

Do you have neck or upper back pain/tightness?
C spine is OK - no possible causes from it?
What caused the ulnar problems to start up? acute accident/injury or repetitive/desk types of work?

We have a TOS forum with lots of info and various therapy & alternative care.
Here's the useful sticky thread link-

Hi Twilly

Jo-mar has given you great info. Just wanted to stop by, say Welcome, and I am so sorry for your pain.

Look around our forums and keep posting. Lots of people are going through what you are going through.

You are not alone.

Take care, and again, Welcome to Neurotalks.

Melody

:)WoW, it's almost as if Jo*Mar was just hanging here, waiting for you to show up & collect all that great info! Until we hear back from you, that will do it for initial contact--unless you have more data. You've gotten the best!

NeuroTalk is also a good place for support, whether it's support for those times when we seem stuck, unable to move our diagnosis (or perhaps treatment plan) ahead, or when it seems that there just are no answers. You'll meet people here who just don't give up. They will happily lend you their strength when yours is gone.

Stick around long enough & you'll get to pass the favor on.

Hope to hear from you soon. Do take care.
.
