scar tissue forming
so my pt mentioned that i have scar tissue around my c7 area that's i guess trying to form
maybe the nerves are finally healing on their own time and/or the magnesium is speeding things along there isn't anything i can really do to avoid this other than let her use her hands to try to move the tissues around it and take coq10 or vitamin e, right? has anyone else had experience witht his? nerve scarring freaks me out. |
or does anyone here have actual scar tissue that showed up on an mri
what does it feel like also is nerve scarring the same as scar tissue hrmm |
Good question,
I've never read that anyone had scar tissue show on their standard MRI & not sure about the 3 d one either. I do recall reading that some had surgery & the scar tissue was found by the dr during the operation and removed. But for some it did come back over time. I think that some people just tend to produce more scar tissue than others. How can she tell it is scar tissue, did she describe how it feels to her? Do you think you ever had a injury to that c7 area? car accident, sports, any falls? I think scar tissue can stick to or impinge the nerves, as well as arteries/veins/muscles... |
i really really hurt my bp doing a nerve glide where i turn my head and extend my arm from one side so i think its a stretch injury but would that give me scar tissue? my ROM is normal except for when my rib creeps up.
interestingly, back when i was in a lot of pain i couldnt straighten my arms out from my side without my elbow nerve being pulled. my pt does this thing now where she works on my neck and my first rib then slowly straightens my arm out from my side (with my hand flexed back). i think its called the upper limb tension test(?) something along that line. each time she does it my arm is going farther. whos to say though this is from what she does or time passing and my nerves healing and/or the magnesium i am taking. i never hear anyone here discussing this technique so i wonder how much its going to help me. |

how bad is your tos?
i really really can't do them. i used to try many many times. im not sure why. after i did a nerve glide involving turning the head and extending my arm (like a "talk to the hand" motion) i was bedridden several hours later. that is when the nerve pain really kicked in. before then my pain was all in my arms. i am hypermobile so its possible that i turned my neck too far and overstretched the nerve? but that was in OCTOBER and i still get itching burning down my left arm. it used to be both arms consider yourself lucky you can do nerve glides. i am lucky i dont get spasms very often. |

i just realized this doesnt make sense lol my neck ROM is normal in and of itself, no arms involved. |
