NEW guy.. Burning skin feelings

Hello this is my first time here and have a question.
My DX was in June of 2011, I have burning on my skin from my face to my toes, it feels like a sun burn. BUT I have not even been in the sun. Any thoughts on this??

I have been having CPK Blood Level testing it has gone like this, 320,542,and now 702. My Dr. wants to do more testing. My heart is OK, been tested and the lungs.

I take Gabapentin 900mg at night and 900mg at morning.

OH and yes adema is bad many times a week, I wear those socks we hate to wear!

I am in the middle of CPK testing too. My neuro didn't like the numbers my rheumy got, which the rhuemy never mentioned them to me. So then my neuro had my CPK level checked again, it was still slightly elevated, so tested again. The 3rd time it was higher than the first time, so now I am having the blood work done again this week.

I do not have edema, thankfully. The burning does happen to me, mostly on my legs though, not full body.

Honest, I wasn't ignoring you, I just thought someone else with a lot more experience would respond to you and they still might. NEver give up, sometimes people get busy.

CPK (creatine phosphokinase )is used to measure muscle damage. It must be broken down to isoenzymes to differentiate it from skeletal, brain, and heart involvement. If you had a fall, it would be elevated. If you had and heart attack it would also be elevated, so isoenzymes are a must. In neuro, it is used to see if you are having muscle breakdown caused by any of many diseases that cause atrophy and myositis. It is also useful in siezure, stroke, brain injury diagnoses.

CPK is a test that is repeated to show a trend in the progression of a problem.

My neuro is testing for muscle issues..he told me that. Thanks for the link.
