It's NeuroTalk's 5th Birthday!

Over on the Social Chat Forum, folks have been wishing Chemar a happy birthday.

It was NeuroTalk's birthday, too, a couple days ago!

Add your congrats if you want, or just drop in on the low-key party.

That's right. Was PsychCentral here back then. What was the forum like?

bizi 08-22-2011 11:34 AM

I used to post on braintalk which went off line for a long time with no back up support and terrible communication. Doc john was nice enough to offer us our own little forum under the psych central umbrella. Since that time brain talk has been back up and running but I don't post there. this is my home. psych central is too big for my comfort, hard to follow so many posters. It is a huge forum! I would occasionally go to their chat rooms. So am glad that we have hooked into theirs, more people more support when needed and not everyone even knew about the chat rooms there.

I too used to go to braintalk. I agree very much with Bizi.

This is too much better to give it up. I do go over and read some of
my friends post every once in a while. But now that I've found them
on facebook, I don't have too.

This is where my pdoc said to come. I didn't know such a thing existed, didn't think about it. He was good, tho--was my tdoc as well in those early days.

So glad I came here first! Found you folks, found the best, never looked anywhere else!

PsychCentral (PC) has been around even longer than the old Braintalk/MGH :)

In 2006, when BT went offline for months, Doc was concerned for all of us members floating out there without our forum home, so he initially provided this place for us as a temporary refuge. We liked it so much that many of us asked him to keep it going even after BT came back up. The fact that he started NT (at that time called braintalk2) on my birthday was a pure coincidence but sure made it extra special for me :D

If you would like to let Doc know how much we appreciate this place, feel free to add your comments to the thread on CFF
